The cafe inside a botanical garden, working out of a glasshouse annexe. The mark appears mostly on white enamel cups and printed menu cards, and enamel is unforgiving: every stroke has to be the same width or the firing shows it.

A leaf reduced to its outline and its midrib, and nothing else. Constant stroke weight throughout, including where the outline turns at the tip - that turn took the longest and is the only reason it comes out of the kiln clean.

Menu cards are letterpressed from the same drawing, and the rule sheet has exactly one instruction about the midrib: it never leaves the center.
