A two-person roastery that sells in matte white tins and paper bags, both printed in one ink. The whole identity had to work as a single-color impression at the size of a coffee tin's shoulder.

The mark is a four-point star with a small solid center - the northern light the roastery is named after, and, close up, a bean. The points are drawn with a slight entasis so they read as sharp without going thin enough to drop out when the tin is foil-blocked.

The system is four things: the mark, one type size relationship, a fixed position on the tin, and a rule about what may never sit inside the star's points. That is the whole manual.
